Summer 2026 Canadian Prairies Wildlife Job List!
Hello friends! I’m president of a seminar series on campus (University of Saskatchewan) which brings in wildlife professionals to give presentations related to conservation, wildlife, and the environment. Just recently, a biologist came in and gave a wonderful presentation on Piping plovers, and ended by advertising summer technician jobs. This got me thinking - do undergraduates understand there’s these opportunities out there? Do they know where to look? Nowadays, many job postings are via email list serves or Linkedin. What if a student does have those accounts?
During the summers of my bachelor’s degree, all my summer jobs came about due to connections. I technically didn’t have to apply for these jobs or find them on job boards. For those without connections, and don’t know where to look, I can imagine it would be quite difficult to find jobs. That’s why I wanted to put together this list. This list not only shows over 20 jobs in the Canadian Prairies for undergraduates, but also have some links to popular websites where jobs may be posted in Canada.
I’ll keep updating the list as I find more jobs. Best of luck on your job search, and please, if you have any questions, job links, or need help, reach out to me at cassidy.waldrep@usask.ca.
